Help make more breakdowns

I’ve started to get requests for breakdowns of other albums — yes, Yes, YES! Here’s how you can make it happen:

1. The easy part — Find links to the audio for the tracks on SoundCloud or YouTube.

2. The harder part — Identify the samples — specifically, for each sample we need artist, album, and start and stop times. Put the data in a text file (like this one) or excel spreadsheet.

3. The easiest part — Email the links and sample data to me: brahn-at-mashupbreakdown-dot-com

If there’s a lot of demand I can put together a more streamlined format so that you can upload automatically and don’t have to wait around wondering when I’ll get to your track. But in the interest of getting this off the ground quickly, let’s start low-tech.

Would love to see GirlTalk's Feed the Animals done on this format as well! :-) Awesome to see all the samples. Thanks!! :)
Girl Talk's Night Ripper album would be awesome too! This site is great, always wondered what all the songs he was using were and when they come up/overlap in the track.
Any of Daft Punk's Alive 2007 songs... but specifically HBFS/Around the World
Have you ever heard of super mash bros? I personally think that they are just as good if not better than girl talk.
Daft Punk's Alive 2007!

Make it happen PLEASE!

Erm, come on guys, the obvious needs to be done. The ultimate sample album of all time, Endtroducing by DJ Shadow, needs to be done.

No question about it.

What about Super Mash Bros.' Albums?
Supermash bros, and night ripper
Surely the granddaddy of them all, Uneasy Listening must get a breakdown here.. one of the pioneering pieces of work by DJ Z Trip & DJ P.
Dude - this is a great site, and great work! I love it. Have you thought of merging this system into a audio detection type service, like the phone apps that can detect what song is playing? It would be amazing if you could process a mashup, detect the songs within the mashup, and create your breakdown - all automatically by uploading a song.

Anyways, great work.

Jesse

Thanks Jesse! I've thought about it (merging w/ audio detection) but I'm not sure current technology is up to the task. I'd love to be wrong about that, though! :-)
Super Mash Bros & Night Ripper would be awesome but definitely Night Ripper...such a great mashup album!
Kleptones - "Uptime" (1st half of Uptime/Downtime). Nothing against Downtime but I listen to Uptime (and/or Hip-Hopera) every week while training for marathons as it provides a good beat/pace plus it kind of gets boring running for 2-4 hours nonstop.lol

There is also a guy that I found on youtube. He goes by Jiggawatt, kind of a Back to the Future theme. Anyway he does mashups too. Like Girl Talk, but a little less manic, if that makes sense. Here is a link to his youtube page.

all the tracks and a source breakdown
Can someone figure out Girl Talk's Night Ripper album?
alll or any of the white panda albums
You should look into some Hood Internet albums.
Dj Girl Talk Night Ripper broooo come on pleaseee, mad people asking for it.
Have you thought of doing some of The Hood Internet stuff? Decalogue would be great.
MILKMAN is like girl talk except much better. check out the album Lactose & THC
Second! Any Milkman would be excellent.
Milkman better than Girl Talk? I think that is debatable. Don't get me wrong, Milkman is awesome, but I like the way Girl Talk uses very recognizable background music. Milkman seems to mostly use electronic background music, which to me just isn't as neat.

Along with Girl Talk, I also like Speaky, http://speakyblog.blogspot.com/ and there is a new artist that I really like called Jiggawatt, http://jiggawattmusic.blogspot.com/

Some songs by Mindless self indulgence might be cool
Do one with UKFDrum&Bass please
Was at a bar and heard a great mashup with Poppin' My Collar by Three 6 Mafia w/ Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison and can't find it anywhere!
I would love to see a breakdown for The Avalanches
Can we get some of 2 Many Djs and/or Soulwax, any album would do.
My ultimate mashup album of all time is DJ Food's Raiding the 20th Century. That would be massive!! Great site, thanks for it!
How about mashups by The White Panda?
Id love to see Milkman's Algorrithims on here.
I appreciate breaking down Milkman's "Algorithm".
DJ Earworm songs possibly?
there needs to be one for Super Mash Bros.
How in the world has no one requested Ludachrist? I'm not even sure I could make a breakdown of that considering how ridiculously many samples there are in both of their mixes.
Any of Robin Skouteris' stuff would be awesome!
the kids & explosion album would be awesome like this
the kids & explosion album would be awesome like this
how about Bruneaux's new album Pure Magic????
How about the Super Mash Bros. albums?
Kap Slap anyone? The 151 album is catchy as well as the AA: Audio Appropriation album!
Dunno if this qualifies -- it's not an album, but it's about 8 minutes long with 14 songs used, and the guy included a list of them.

Isosine's Mashup Manifesto (1 and 2) would be incredible to see. I'm sure he would be willing to help, but if not, all sample names and whatnot are on his bandcamp- http://isosine.bandcamp.com/
i would really like to see one for "my pink reptile party" which is a mashup for knife party, skrillex, and f feed me.
Just emailed you with all the info for Truxton's Hellhound. Hope it can be added!
